This is the second book in the series. I enjoyed it more than the first. Some of the same characters appear as in the first. Priscilla and Cord disliked each other in the first book but in this story they cannot deny their attraction to one another. The story is fast paced but you won't see anything spicy happen between Cilla and Cord until about half way through the story. Some loose ends from the first book are tied up in this story. I just finished the third book in the series and it was just as good if not better. Great author that I had not read before.Product details

I liked this book . I give very few 5 rating, has to be very very good to get a 5.
Women grew up fast and men were transformed when children came into the mix. A child can help grown men feel their grounding.
Lots of action and angst with the bad men.. Someone always seemed to be after the sheriff.
Lots of fun loving too. Never a shortage of romance.
Rain Trueaxe’s TUCSON’S MOON was a page turning, warm romance suited to all who like stories of spiritual essence which exude tolerance. Especially with simultaneous practiced faiths as in the way American Indians practice Christianity!
I was hooked by 10 year old, motherless Grace who in 1886 traveled alone across the country in a train to Arizona Territory. Immediately I knew she was a brave and smart girl. She had wrongly learned from her deceased grandparents that her father a legal gunman territory Marshal, was evil. Priscilla stepped up and rescued the clueless guilt ridden Cord. I loved her strength.
The carefully researched period and intimate knowledge of the Tucson area is vivid and real. The book is a window for a city girl, like me, into the birth of the prevalent Texas/ Arizona political attitude continuing today. Of course the lessons here in are relevant and readable to both sides of the gun control controversy.
This book was much better written than the one that started Sam's and Abbies story. Not so many fits and starts. This story, although a continuation of the last one, was very interesting. Cilla and Cord were a match from the start.

This is the second book in the O'Brians Series and I loved it! I Loved Cord and his story. Priscilla was just the woman he needed, but would they both realize this in time. Rain Trueax is one of my favorite authors. I can always count on her for taking the time to research for correct historical facts, wonderful descriptions of the surroundings and a hero and heroine that I can care deeply enough to root for that HEA.
